Hot Air Balloon Festival

Every once in a while as we’re driving down the road one of our kids will start hyperventilating because there is a hot air balloon in the sky! Of course we get excited too, because who doesn’t love hot air balloons, right? As much as we love hot air balloons we never really get a chance to check them out up close. Well, here is your chance!

August 2nd and 3rd, head out to the Fairfield County Airport (3430 Old Columbus Road Northwest, Carroll, OH)! for The Third Annual Fairfield County Hot Air Balloon Festival! Admission is FREE, but it is $5 to park. All events in the festival are subject to change due to weather. The following is a schedule of events:

Friday August 2nd:
6:30 AM-7:30 AM: 1st Sunrise flight, and all press and media are invited to cover the festival.
4:00 PM-10:30 PM: Festivities will continue around 4 PM with all festival events, including skydiving, live entertainment, food,  and a silent auction. Festivities will conclude on Friday at 10:30 PM
6:30 PM-7:30 PM: Sunset flight
7:00 PM-9:00 PM: Tether rides
8:30 PM- 10:30 PM: Balloon glow

Saturday August 3rd:
6:30 AM-7:30 AM: 2nd Sunrise flight
4:00 PM-10:30 PM: Festivities will continue around including skydiving, live entertainment, a cruise in, food, and a silent auction. Festivities will conclude on Saturday at 10:00 PM
6:30 PM-7:30 PM: Sunset flight
7:00 PM-9:00 PM: Tether rides
8:30 PM- 10:00 PM: Balloon glow
